eine kinetische Installation von Friedrich Boell, 2020
Kinästhesie ist eigentlich eine Bezeichnung für die Menschliche Wahrnehmung der eigenen Bewegung.
Friedrich Boells Diplom Installationsserie Kinesthesie greift diesen Begriff auf und wendet ihn auf drei vom Künstler hergestellte Objekte an.
Dabei handelt es sich um eine fahrende Wand welche Fotografische Arbeiten zeigt die auf dem Müll gefunden wurden. Eine Yamaha Heimorgel, in einem neu eingefassten Korpus aus Aluminium Konstruktionsprofilen. Und ein Sideboard, auf dem ein Globus und eine Stehlampe neben einer Pistole aus Cent Stücken liegt.
Diesen Gegenständen fehlt der Sinn für die eigene Bewegung gänzlich.
Das kommt daher, dass er ist noch nicht fertig programmiert. Es fehlen die Sensoren und Computergesteuerte Kamerasysteme sind aufgrund der Globalen Chipkriese gerade kaum verfügbar. Daher legt der Künstler selbst Hand an und steuert seine Installationen aus der Ferne auf Kreisförmigen Bahnen durch den Ausstellungsraum.
Kinesthesia is a term for the human perception of one’s own movement.
Friedrich Boell’s diploma installation series Kinesthesia takes up this term and applies it to three objects made by the artist.
These are a moving wall showing photographic works found on the garbage. A Yamaha electronic home organ, in a newly framed body of aluminum construction profiles. And a sideboard on which stands a globe and a floor lamp next to a pistol made of euro coins.
These objects completely lack a sense of their own movement.
That’s because it’s not yet fully programmed. The sensors are missing and computer-controlled camera systems are hardly available at the moment due to the global chip crisis. Therefore, the artist himself lends a hand and steers his installations remotely on circular paths through the exhibition space.
